About ETSS The Division of Enterprise Technology Strategy and Services (ETSS) The Division of Enterprise Technology Strategy and Services (ETSS) was created by legislative mandate in 2013 to consolidate and better manage our state's information technology resources. The Division, headed by the Chief Digital Officer, is responsible for oversight, coordination and development of all IT staff and resources within the Executive Branch of government. Specifically, the Division will standardize the state's ongoing investments in software, networks and services. Brian Tardiff, CDO / CIO The State CDO / CIO Brian Tardiff, the State Chief Digital Officer (CDO) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) joined the State in July 2018 and has served as Chief Information Security Officer until his selection as CDO / CIO in March of 2023. The ETSS leadership team will join Brian in his focus on ensuring a highly skilled workforce, sound IT processes, and modern and secure digital capabilities.
